The Walsden Valley cuts from Lancashire into Yorkshire and creates a spectacular, two mile long steep sided valley through which the ancient Turnpike road, then the canal and finally the railway push through. The industrial Revolution was in full force here, with the creation of Tunnels and Iron Bridges, Locks and wharfs for the mills and so there are subjects to paint here wherever you look, and when it turns to Autumn it gets even better.
